Our anchor event, Halsey Festival is a highlight of the Halsey corridor placemaking efforts, featuring a main stage for incredible local performances, a vendor market offering food and goods, and free activities for all ages to enjoy. What truly sets the collection of Halsey Fest events apart is our strong collaboration with community organizations, making it a celebration of and by the people who call Halsey Street home. Through every activation, we continue to strengthen connections and foster the growth of the Halsey Street corridor and the broader Arts and Education District.

A community event that took over Newark’s downtown provided entertainment for all ages. The annual Halsey Festival in downtown Newark's historic Halsey Street district attracted hundreds with activations, a vibrant market, and lively mainstage, providing a unique opportunity for a diverse mix of attendees to experience the neighborhood firsthand with food options, programming, and special performances.
